jumbotrousers Wasn't too sure about this one, being a bunch of remixes of the same two tracks but it does work as an album. The remixed versions are all different enough to make it a worthwhile purchase. The Empty Sea mix of Einhlida is too short, mind. Favorite track: Einhliða (Empty Sea Remix).

The last in the series of Dohnavùr reissues brings us 'Concrete Animals - The Remixes'.

Once again, some sensational work is on show here from some of our favourite artists, such as Kieran Mahon, Spectrin, Giants Of Discovery and more.

Also included on this release are rare, alternate studio versions of Concrete Animals and Einhliða, also given fresh mastering for 2023, and an exclusive recording of Concrete Animals, performed live at WFR North Plan B in October 2022. This is the first time Dohnavùr have released live material to the public.

This entire album is staggeringly good, but my favourite is Slowly Coming Together, which does indeed seem to slowly distill all that is Jilk into one track. Amazing work, and wonderful to come across through the subscription library. swansither

This has gone straight to the top of my best of 2022 and I'm not sure it's going to get beaten for the rest of the year! An absolutely increable album with errie twists and turns and spooky tones. A horror film soundtrack for this generation. I absolutely love it! Stephen Osborne
